ARTISTIC ENOUGH...

Colours....something you simply can't run out of ..

Look out of your window..you'll find yellow sunshine all over...

Look out a the cityscape..you'll find it monotonous and feeling less enough to be grey....

Look into the eyes of those little ones dwelling by the road side..you'll find ....????

You will find them colourless,but these eyes will definitely haunt you as they sport those rare colours of deprivation..

Mercury is soaring high , and the weatherman has no good news either to bring respite home.In some nook of this city,souls are troubled with the civil strife that is going on within their minds.This strife results from the question....the question that is "Will we be lucky enough (yet again) to sustain these summers ? " Such minds are those of slum dwellers.Poverty compels them to question themselves their existence.Life is nothing but colourless...

We Volunteer,Amritsar was back again last Sunday (June, the 3rd) to lend snippets of compassion to the little angels and hand them,well.............COLOUR PENCILS this time !!

We Volunteer ,Amritsar organised a painting competition for the underprivileged kids.The event was marked by an enthusiastic participation of the kids (not to forget...the volunteers carried forward the past enthusiasm as well ... way to go,folks ;-) ). The volunteers taught the kids how to draw simple objects.After a brief lesson,these kids simply went out on what you'll call as a 'painting spree' and unleashed their 'never recognised,never explored' talents and feelings.This painting event again brought home the fact that support and care are all that these kids need.

At the end of the day,every kid was a winner here.All of them recieved stuffed toys and other articles as gif tokens,but Deepak,was the last man standing ;-) and showed that he is all set to give Mr. M.F.Hussain some sleepless nights.Well,no kidding...Deepak's imagination and innovation propelled him to the first spot in the contest..and that got him prizes as well.This marked the end of another We Volunteer event.
